SERIES SYNOPSIS

Coral reefs and spectacular creatures are disappearing, before we even understand them. Their survival is intricately bound with a new approach and fresh perception.

Comprising 3 dramatically original adventure stories, ‘The Reef’ is a Multiple Award Winning Underwater Documentary Film Series. Over 4 years in the making, it features the very best of underwater cinematography and a truly innovative portrayal of marine life. 'The Reef' is produced in collaboration with Globally Prominent Marine Scientists and Coral Reef Ecologists, backed up by extensive research and shot entirely in the wild.

Living ‘alongside’ the marine animals, the award-winning Filmmakers combine innovative techniques and angles with a groundbreaking knowledge of the marine life to capture rare, intimate footage and reveal new, undocumented behaviour. With a passion to raise the world’s awareness about these mesmerizing creatures, they present the fish in an entirely new light, exposing unique personalities, habits, abilities and their true essence to the world.

From the tiny animal that builds the coral reef, to the circle of life of the creatures that inhabit it; from exhilarating encounters and extraordinary relationships to fish communication and intelligence; 'The Reef' introduces completely unique interaction between man and marine life. Powerful personification of the animals allows the viewer to relate to them, seeing them, for the first time ever, as they really are.

Documenting spectacular adventure, dramatic storytelling and breathtaking marine exploration, this Internationally Acclaimed Series is the coral reef, as never seen before. Provocatively extending all boundaries of ‘traditional underwater film’, this is an eye-opener, absolutely guaranteed to reach the hearts of all.

Liquid Motion Film Photo Media Underwater Productions Talking With Fishes

“With ‘The Reef Series’, Guy and Anita have pushed all boundaries of interactive wildlife film-making. Their instinctive empathy for marine life is evident in the incredible wildlife footage which they've managed to obtain. I'm certain these films will become a classic of underwater film-making”. -(Nick Hanna, Journalist; Author)

"Everyone was absolutely fascinated by your films and learned a lot. The number of people wanting to talk to you was a clear indication of the interest and enthusiasm you generated. Not only were the films well-constructed, but they contained absolutely remarkable footage of interaction with the fish. - (Mr. Colin Doeg, British Society of Underwater Photographers)

"Excellent underwater footage and some really incredible behaviour captured"....- (Montana CINE Film Festival; Judges Notes)
